DRONEWATCHER™ Drone Detection and Defense Systems

DeTect has developed DroneWatcher™, a unique Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) that combines multiple advanced technologies capable of operating independently or as a fully integrated solution to provide wide-area drone detection, identification, tracking, and defense against small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

DroneWatcher™ RF

DroneWatcher™ RF is an advanced radio frequency (RF)-based drone detection system capable of identifying more than 95% of commercially available drones. The system provides detailed information including the drone model, unique identification, and other available telemetry data, enabling rapid threat assessment and response.

DroneWatcher™ RF is housed in a compact, unobtrusive enclosure that can be installed around the perimeter of a facility with only minimal power and network requirements. Self-contained solar-powered and cellular-enabled versions are also available for remote or off-grid deployments.

DeTect continuously updates the DroneWatcher™ RF signature database, ensuring compatibility with newly introduced commercial drone platforms and maintaining industry-leading detection performance.

In addition to drone detection and identification, DroneWatcher™ RF incorporates DeTect's proprietary drone mitigation and launch-point detection capabilities, providing enhanced situational awareness and supporting comprehensive Counter-UAS (C-UAS) operations.

HARRIER™ DSR

HARRIER™ DSR (Drone Surveillance Radar) is a primary surveillance radar specifically engineered for the detection and tracking of small, low-flying, non-cooperative drones operating in high-clutter environments.

The system is capable of detecting and tracking consumer, prosumer, and military-grade non-cooperative UAVs at both visual line-of-sight (VLOS) and extended operational ranges, while also providing long-range detection capabilities for larger unmanned aircraft.

Unlike RF-based detection systems, HARRIER™ DSR can detect and track autonomous or pre-programmed drones operating without an active control link, including UAVs that cannot be identified by DroneWatcher™ APP or DroneWatcher™ RF. The radar seamlessly integrates with video surveillance systems, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors, and DeTect's own or third-party Counter-UAS technologies, delivering a comprehensive, layered drone detection and response capability.

DroneWatcher™ Layered Drone Surveillance and Mitigation

DeTect's DroneWatcher™ Airspace Surveillance System provides a flexible, highly customizable, multi-layered Counter-UAS (C-UAS) solution for the detection, tracking, alerting, and mitigation of drones and small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (sUAVs). The system combines Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) and radar technologies to deliver comprehensive airspace awareness.

Each DroneWatcher™ technology can operate independently or as part of a fully integrated multi-sensor architecture, allowing customers to tailor the level of protection to their specific operational and security requirements. The platform is also fully upgradeable, enabling it to adapt to the continuously evolving capabilities, technologies, and threats presented by modern drone systems.

The HARRIER™ DSR (Drone Surveillance Radar) provides reliable detection and tracking of non-cooperative, RF-silent, autonomous, and pre-programmed UAVs that cannot be detected through conventional RF monitoring alone. Both DroneWatcher™ and HARRIER™ DSR can be equipped with DeTect's proprietary drone mitigation and launch-point detection capabilities, providing a complete Counter-UAS solution.

DroneWatcher™ WEB

DroneWatcher™ WEB is DeTect's cloud-based situational awareness platform, providing a real-time consolidated operational display customized for each protected site. The system supports scalable deployments ranging from individual facilities to large industrial complexes, cities, counties, and regional infrastructures, while offering customizable visual, audible, and text-based alert notifications.

The platform continuously records all sensor detections, including drone identification signatures, geographic location, flight paths, timestamps, and other operational parameters. These records create a comprehensive evidentiary database that can support incident investigations, regulatory compliance, forensic analysis, and legal proceedings related to unauthorized or unlawful drone activities.

HARRIER™ Drone Surveillance Radar

HARRIER™ DSR (Drone Surveillance Radar) employs advanced military-grade solid-state Doppler radar technology specifically engineered for the detection and tracking of small radar cross-section (RCS) targets in complex, high-clutter environments. The system reliably detects RF-silent and GPS-programmed autonomous drones at ranges of more than 2 miles, providing dependable surveillance even against UAVs that cannot be identified by conventional RF detection systems.

DeTect's solid-state drone radar technology delivers significantly higher detection performance, longer operational life, and lower maintenance costs than conventional magnetron-based radar systems. HARRIER also incorporates an advanced SQL-based data management system for real-time drone target classification and the automatic rejection of false targets, including birds and other non-threat objects.

The system seamlessly integrates with third-party video surveillance, acoustic sensors, and other security technologies, while providing a unified web-based situational awareness platform for real-time monitoring of individual facilities or large geographic regions.

In addition to advanced detection capabilities, the HARRIER™ system incorporates DeTect's proprietary drone mitigation technology and can also integrate with and control third-party counter-drone systems, providing a comprehensive and scalable Counter-UAS (C-UAS) solution for critical infrastructure protection.

Integrated and Interoperable Technology

DroneWatcher™ and HARRIER™ systems can operate as stand-alone facility protection and force protection solutions, detecting and alerting operators to unauthorized intrusions by air, land, and sea. The systems are also multi-mission platforms, capable of simultaneously detecting, locating, tracking, and alerting on small UAVs (sUAVs), conventional aircraft, ultralight aircraft, vessels, and boats entering predefined site perimeters or restricted areas.

Automatic visual and audible alerts are delivered to security personnel and law enforcement agencies through DeTect's web-based platform, with notifications available via SMS, radio paging, mobile devices, or remote monitoring stations.

The systems provide automatic target detection and tracking with user-defined surveillance and alarm zones. They are available in both fixed skid-mounted and mobile configurations, and can be networked to provide continuous coverage across large facilities, border crossings, coastlines, ports, and other extended perimeters.

DeTect's highly configurable technology integrates radar, video, thermal imaging, acoustic detection, and deterrent systems into a single operator interface, enabling real-time monitoring, threat assessment, and response from one unified display.
